Richard Blyth, Head of Policy Practice and Research at Royal Town Planning Institute, will speak about “The pros and cons of a data-driven system for making decisions for places”.
There has been an explosion of data relating to places in recent years. This can provide a great boost to making the right decisions on the future of our places. However, it also brings with it risks. In this lecture Richard Blyth will unpack some of the benefits and problems.
Richard Blyth FRTPI FAcSS has been Head of Policy Practice and Research at the Royal Town Planning Institute for over 10 years. He came to town planning’s profession body after a career in central and local government. He has worked in England and West Africa, and is now responsible for the RTPI’s work at the European level.
