On 8th June 2024, Guy Marshall and Philip Hulme attended the Manchester Histories Festival, manning a stand for Manchester Statistical Society.

The event attracted a wide range of exhibitors and guests to Central Library on the rainy Sunday afternoon.

Armed with a new banner, we were noticed about a dozen email signups, and at least one new member. We also had a very kind offer from Steve Roman to conduct a historical city centre walk for our society this summer, which is now being planned and will be added to the meetup site in due course.

As an aside, Guy also ended up signed up to the Friends of Heaton Hall, and to the GM Transport Museum. We might partake in their facilities in the upcoming picnic in Heaton Park on 29th June!
